Amber Heard says she still loves Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp accused Amber Heard and her legal team of ‘reinventing’ the couple’s bitter legal battle in his first interview since a jury ruled against her.
Part of the interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie – which will air in full on Dateline on Friday – was posted on Peacock on Thursday afternoon, in which Depp’s team responded to Heard speaking out.
“It is unfortunate that as Johnny seeks to move on with his life, the defendant and her team are beginning to repeat, re-imagine and challenge issues that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that has been decided. unequivocally by a jury in Johnny’s favor,” his team said.
It came after an anonymous juror came forward to reveal Heard’s ‘chilled’ testimony was seen as ‘crocodile tears’ by the panel.
Further he said hello america that the jury found that her emotional testimony “did not add up” and that they believed her to be the “aggressor” in the couple’s doomed relationship.
Excerpts from Heard’s interview were broadcast on Today earlier this week, with her saying she will stand by her testimony ‘until the day I die’ and that she paid the price for ‘speaking truth to power’.
Heard releases new statement ahead of Dateline interview
A spokesperson for Heard released a new statement ahead of his full interview with Savannah Guthrie on Deadline tonight.
“If Mr. Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Gutherie for an hour and answer any questions she may have,” the spokesperson said.
The remarks are believed to be in response to a statement from Depp’s team to NBC on Thursday, which read: ‘It is unfortunate that as Johnny seeks to move on with his life, the defendant and his team are starting over to repeat, re-imagine, and re–contentious issues that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that has been unequivocally returned by a jury in Johnny’s favor.
